Jette Soutar was born in the Philippines and is an active volunteer in many church positions. She worked as a college instructor in Wesleyan University and Araullo University in the Philippines and as a bank manager until 1995 when she moved to Canada. For the last three years she has been an administrator of an Addiction Recovery Program.

Jette has traced 450 couples in her ancestral line and will share information on how to get started doing family history in the Philippines. She says: “I hope I will be able to help people just beginning and give a head start to those who have not done anything yet.”
