Dara Tomasson

Born in Ottawa, Ontario Dara has lived in various parts of Canada: Calgary, High River, Edmonton and Killiam, Alberta, Ottawa and Niagara-on-the-Lake Ontario. She is the middle child from a family of eight. After graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education Dara served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in France for 18 months. Upon completion of her missionary experience, Dara taught children with high social and learning needs in elementary school for eight years.

Now Dara has been married for ten years. In that time she has lived in five houses and has four adorable children aged eight, six, four, and two.

She is heavily involved in church and community activities. Dara loves to run and other athletics and has recently adding Boot Camp to the mix! She loves to quilt, read and garden.

Some adjectives to best describe Dara are enthusiastic, energetic, determined, caring and committed.

After hearing a talk given by the late James E. Faust where he said that the second most important book in our homes behind the scriptures are our family histories. Dara has been spurred into action and keeping up with the times is turning the books into an interactive family history blog know as myfourgenerationsproject.blogspot.com.
