Indexing - Assisting in the Digital Revolution
by Joe and Monika Brooks
Joe and Monika Brooks will teach you how to use FamilySearch indexing. They will show you how to download a batch of records and type the information from these records into a database that people worldwide can use to find their ancestors. The records you download come from scanned documents that include census records, birth certificates, marriage certificates, military registrations, etc.
Indexing lets us help one another with family history. You might enter the name of someone in Canada, and tomorrow someone in England may enter the name of an ancestor you are searching for.
Join this workshop and learn how you can become part of this exciting program.
There will be a handout for this session.
